Powders Plant Operative
Location - Ashbourne
Hours - 7-5 Monday to Friday (6-11 on every other sat)
ROLE
To work as part of a team in meeting both customer and company demands, maximising plant efficiencies whilst complying with SHE and Quality systems.
KEY OUTPUTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES·
Work in a safe manner to ensure the Health and Safety of yourself and others.
· Comply with and be actively involved in Tarmac TQM (BL & C) SHE and Quality Policies and Procedures.
· Competent in the operation of an automated processing plant and associated automated bagging operation
· Maintain production levels.
· Carry out daily safety and maintenance checks and document accordingly.
· Forklift driving.
· Flexibility of cover other roles, within the job holders capabilities, as defined by the Industrial Plant Manager.
· General housekeeping
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
– Reasonable General Level of EducationDesirable
– NVQ Level 2 - Process Operations
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of SHE, QA, Product knowledge and Technical awareness.
Knowledge of Plant Operations, Maintenance and Repairs.
The job holder must be mechanically minded to be able to identify possible breakdowns prior to plant failure.
EXPERIENCE
Experience of a similar role or environment would be desirable.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Essential - Counterbalance Forklift truck
Experience operating process equipment - Desirable Automated bagging plant
